About Aanchari pass trek
The Aanchari Pass, also known as the Aancha Top Trek, is a beautiful and relatively lesser-known Himalayan adventure in the Yamunotri Valley of Uttarakhand. Starting from Kharsali, the trail gradually climbs through peaceful Himalayan forests of pine, oak and rhododendron before opening into expansive alpine meadows and high mountain ridges. Along the route, trekkers experience changing landscapes, from traditional mountain villages and dense forests to open grasslands surrounded by dramatic Himalayan scenery. The highlight of the trek is Aancha Top, which reaches approximately 3,810 metres (12,500 feet) and provides impressive views towards the Bandarpunch and Swargarohini mountain ranges. During winter, snowfall can transform the trail and surrounding meadows into a beautiful white landscape, making it especially attractive for snow-loving trekkers. The trek covers approximately 24 km over 6 days and 5 nights and is graded easy to moderate, making it suitable for reasonably fit beginners as well as experienced trekkers looking for a quieter Himalayan route.
