About
Bara Bhangal
Bara Bhangal Trek is an extraordinary journey into one of the most remote and untouched parts of Himachal Pradesh, where the landscape changes dramatically from dense mountain forests and lush green meadows to rugged alpine terrain, snow-covered passes and deep Himalayan valleys. The trail passes through beautiful high-altitude camps, glacial streams and vast open grasslands before crossing demanding mountain passes such as Kalihani and Thamsar. The remote Bara Bhangal village adds a unique cultural experience, with traditional stone-and-wood houses and the lifestyle of the Gaddi communities who have lived in these mountains for generations. The combination of towering snow peaks, dramatic ridgelines, crystal-clear streams, wild meadows, isolated villages and almost complete absence of crowds gives the trek a raw and adventurous character that is very different from popular Himachal treks.
