Reaching an altitude of around 3,400 metres, the trail passes through dense pine, deodar, fir and oak forests before reaching the famous Hatu Mata Temple. The summit offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges and is especially beautiful when covered in winter snow.

About Hatu Peak
The Hatu Peak Trek is a scenic and accessible Himalayan adventure starting from the charming hill town of Narkanda in Himachal Pradesh. Rising to approximately 3,400 metres (11,152 ft), Hatu Peak is one of the highest points in Shimla district and is crowned by the revered Hatu Mata Temple. The trail winds through beautiful forests of deodar, pine, fir, spruce, oak and rhododendron, creating a peaceful mountain atmosphere throughout the journey. Trekkers pass through Gujjar Kotha, forested ridges and open meadows before reaching the summit, where magnificent views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges, valleys and distant snow-covered peaks await. The trek covers roughly 14 km round trip and can comfortably be completed as a day hike, while camping can be added for a more immersive experience. During winter, snowfall transforms the route into an attractive snow trek, while the warmer months provide pleasant conditions for hiking and expansive mountain views.
