About Kalpeswar
Kalpeshwar is a famous and sacred temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand and is considered the fifth and final temple of the Panch Kedar pilgrimage. Located in the peaceful Urgam Valley, the temple is surrounded by dense forests, green meadows, terraced fields, and magnificent Himalayan landscapes, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere. According to Hindu mythology, after the Pandavas sought forgiveness from Lord Shiva, different parts of Shiva appeared at the five Panch Kedar temples, and at Kalpeshwar, his matted hair (Jata) is worshipped.
