About Kamrunag Lake

The trek begins from Rohanda and follows a steep forest trail for approximately 5–6 km to reach the sacred Kamrunag Lake at an altitude of 3,334 metres (10,938 ft). The trail passes through beautiful deodar and oak forests, offering peaceful surroundings and occasional views of the Dhauladhar Range and Balh Valley. Beside the lake stands the traditional temple of Dev Kamrunag, revered in local tradition as the King Yaksha associated with the Mahabharata.
