About Kuppar Bugyal
The Kuppar Bugyal Trek is a scenic and relatively easy-to-moderate Himalayan trek located in the Pabbar Valley near Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Beginning from Kharapathar, the trail passes through beautiful forests of deodar, conifers and rhododendrons before reaching the serene Giri Ganga area. From Giri Ganga, the trail climbs gradually towards the expansive grasslands of Kuppar Bugyal, reaching an altitude of approximately 3,200 metres. From the upper meadows, trekkers can enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges, including distant Kinnaur and Chanshal-side peaks. The combination of forest trails, open alpine meadows, mountain scenery and peaceful camping makes Kuppar Bugyal an excellent choice for beginners and travellers looking for an offbeat Himalayan experience.
