About Mural Danda
The Mural Danda Trek is a scenic and relatively unexplored trek in the Pabbar Valley of Himachal Pradesh. Starting from the remote villages around Sungri or Dumrera, the trail passes through apple orchards, dense pine and oak forests, open alpine meadows and dramatic mountain ridges. As the trail gains altitude, the landscape becomes increasingly expansive, with panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges. The summit section involves a rewarding ridge walk leading to Mural Danda, from where trekkers can witness impressive views of peaks such as Bandarpoonch, Kalanag, Swargarohini and other Himalayan giants on clear days. The trek is considered easy to moderate for fit trekkers, although the high altitude and steep summit section require good fitness and preparation.
