About Rajgundha Valley
The Rajgundha Valley Trek is an easy-to-moderate Himalayan adventure that begins from the famous Billing paragliding take-off point near Bir and leads into the secluded Rajgundha Valley of Kangra. The trail passes through oak, rhododendron and deodar forests, open mountain meadows, streams and scenic ridges, with beautiful views of the Dhauladhar mountains along the way. Rajgundha and nearby Kukkar Gundha are traditional mountain settlements surrounded by forests and agricultural fields, offering trekkers an opportunity to experience the peaceful lifestyle of Himachal’s remote villages. The main Billing–Rajgundha route is roughly 12–15 km one way, while the return journey is around 24–30 km, depending on the route. Trekkers can stay overnight in village homestays or camps and can also extend the journey towards Barot. The ideal trekking seasons are April to June and September to November.
