About Seven Lakes
The Seven Lakes Trek is a spectacular high-altitude journey through the remote and scenic Dhauladhar mountains near Dharamshala. The trail takes trekkers through dense forests, green alpine meadows, rocky mountain terrain and high mountain passes before reaching a chain of beautiful glacial and sacred lakes such as Nag Dal, Lam Dal, Kali Kund, Chanderkup and other route-dependent lakes. The landscape changes dramatically with altitude, from green forests and meadows to barren rocky slopes and snow-covered mountains. The views of the Dhauladhar peaks, especially around Indrahar Pass and Minkiani Pass, are breathtaking, while the peaceful atmosphere around the high-altitude lakes makes the trek feel wild and untouched.
