About Shikari Devi

The Shikari Devi Trek is a beautiful combination of Himalayan adventure, nature and spirituality in the Seraj region of Himachal Pradesh. Starting from Janjehli, the trail winds through dense pine, oak and deodar forests before opening into expansive alpine meadows and ridges. The destination is the ancient Shikari Devi Temple, situated at approximately 3,359 metres, making it the highest peak of Mandi district and popularly known as the “Crown of Mandi.” The roofless temple is dedicated to Shikari Devi, the Goddess of Hunters, and is associated with local legends and the Pandavas. From the summit, trekkers can enjoy magnificent sunrise and sunset views, sweeping green valleys and distant snow-covered Himalayan ranges. The trek is particularly rewarding in spring, early summer and autumn when the weather and visibility are generally favorable.
