About VAISHNO DEVI TEMPLE
Vaishno Devi Temple, also known as Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, is one of the most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites in India. It is located in the Trikuta Hills near Katra, Jammu and Kashmir.
The shrine is dedicated to Mata Vaishno Devi, who is worshipped as a manifestation of Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati. Devotees undertake a pilgrimage from Katra to the holy shrine, traditionally covering about 12–13 km on foot.
The natural cave shrine contains the sacred three Pindis, which represent the divine forms of the Goddess. The beautiful mountain surroundings, spiritual atmosphere, and devotion of pilgrims make Vaishno Devi an important religious and cultural destination.
